Rc.141 New School Timings for Primary, UP, High Schools in AP-Instructions to DEOs. Lr.No141/B1/SCERT /2014, Dt. 11-08-2014. The SPD & DSE AP has instructed all DEOs to follow the New School Timings for Primary, Upper Primary, High Schools in Andhra Pradesh as per RTE Norms. As per DSE Instructions Primary schools should run from 9.00 AM to 4.00 PM, Upper Primary Schools from 9.00 AM to 4.30 PM (Primary School children will leave by 4.00PM), High Schools from 9.00 AM to 4.30 PM. - In the ref.cited the Director, SCERT has submitted school timings and details of the periods for Primary, Upper Primary and High Schools in terms of the propositions of RTE Act . All the DEOs are hereby instructed to adapt the school timings and also academic calendar proposed by Director, SCERT. As per the provisions of the RTE Act it shall be ensured that no school works beyond the school hours and teachers shall not be forced to conduct special classes beyond school hours. It shall also be ensured that private schools do not function more than working hours prescribed by the Director SCERT though the timings can vary depending on the local situation . In case of any difficulty in maintaining the school timings prescribed for Government/Z.P.Schools, specific proposals can be submitted by the DEO for relaxing. In case of any specific reasons like non-availability of APSRTC buses or remoteness of the area etc, such proposals can be separately examined .
Suggested New Time Table as per RTE in all Schools in AP
Time Table suggested as per RTE is as follows:- 1. Primary: From 9.00 AM to 4.00 PM
- 2. Upper Primary: From 9.00 AM to 4.30 PM (Primary School children will leave by 4.00PM)
- 3. High Schools : From 9.00 AM to 4.30 PM
