In this connection, the Department of School Education has planned to provide remedial teaching to low performing students of classes 3 to 8, from 06.05.2019 to 05.06.2019 in their respective schools. Regarding this certain guidelines are given below.

In this connection, the Department of School Education has planned to provide remedial teaching to low performing students of classes 3 to 8, from 06.05.2019 to 05.06.2019 in their respective schools. Regarding this certain guidelines are given below.
- 1. Workbooks containing practice sheets on fundamentals in Telugu, Mathematics and English will be sent to the O/o DCEB Secretaries of Anantapuram, Chittoor, Kadapa, Kurnool, Nellore, Prakasam, Visakhapatnam and Vizianagaram by 03.05.2019 as per the indent given in the annexure.
- 2. DCEB secretaries should distribute them @ 20% of the total strength (2018- 19) of the draught Mandals to the MEOs concerned in considering the actual attendance of the respective mandals. Transportation cost shall be met from the available budget with DCEB.
- 3. In turn MEOs should distribute them to the schools @ 20% of the total strength of the school (2018-19) duly considering the actual number of MDM beneficiaries and attendance.
- 4. The workbooks should be distributed to the low performing students in each school based on the S.A 1 and S.A 2 results.
- 5. Each subject contains 90 worksheets on fundamentals of Telugu, English and Mathematics
- 6. Teachers supervising Mid Day Meal should conduct remedial teaching classes from 09.00 am to 11.00 am. Each day the students are supposed to practice 2 to 3 worksheets in each subject.
- 7. Teachers should verify the worksheets done by the students everyday and sign with date.
- 8. Teachers should conduct the interesting traditional and recreational games given in the Physical Literacy text books both in primary and secondary schools. These games must be played either in the classrooms or under shade. Students should not be allowed to play in hot sun.
- 9. After serving Mid Day Meal at 12.00 the students should be sent home.
- 10.Academic Monitoring Officer SSA is requested to monitor the programme meticulously and ensure the regular conduct of remedial classes in all schools.
- 11.MEOs should pay regular visits to these schools to ensure the attendance of the students and teachers for remedial classes and Mid Day Meal.
- 12.Teachers should encourage regular attendance of the low performing students through remedial classes and interesting games every day.
