All the Regional Joint Directors of School Education, District Educational Officers and Project Officers, SSA in the state are informed that the Govt. have decided to conduct a four day Educational campaign named as "Rajanna Badi Bata" from 12.06.2019 to 15.06.2019 in all schools with the following objectives.- 1. All children in the age group of 6-14 years shall be enrolled in the schools. There shall be no dropouts/ never enrolled children in any village.
- 2. No child shall be employed as child labour.
- 3. Quality education shall be imparted to all children, in all schools, through regular monitoring and continuous evaluation of the children's learning levels.
- The "Rajanna - Badi Bata" campaign will be conducted from date of reopening of schools ie., from 12th June 2019 to 15th June, 2019 in all schools. A suggestive day wise programme is enclosed herewith.
- It is believed that our well qualified, trained and motivated teachers are key to make the children come to school and in making the learning experience interesting and exciting for them. While the annexed day to day program gives a broad schedule, Headmasters and teachers may be encouraged to be innovative and creative in implementing the same. The innovative way they made these four days of the School exciting for the children and the responses from the children and the parents may be well documented and shared with all.
- In order to achieve the objectives of the "Rajanna - Badi Bata" programme, please ensure local public representatives and community participation and parents involvement in the day to day school level activities. Hygienic food shall be prepared and served in the MDM. While the "Rajanna Badi Bata" programme is scheduled from 12.06.2019 to 15.06.2019. The whole school premises and classrooms should be neatly swept & dusted/cleaned up without fail. Please ensure that the children are provided with all the entitlements like, Text Books, Uniforms, Quality Mid-Day Meal, etc. Support of the School management Committee, local community, Alumni, NGOs, Corporates etc may be taken to improve the infrastructure as well as quality of education.
- The supervisory officers like MEOs, DyEOs, DEOs, SSA, and RMSA Team should frequently visit the schools and provide necessary support to the Head Masters and Teachers in addressing the problems, issues and gaps. Through effective monitoring, they should ensure that the children enrolled in the schools are retained, drop outs arrested, academic calendar is followed and that the student learning levels are improved.
