Ref: Letter No:22021/4/2020-Civil Works, Dated:21/08/2020 of the Director, Women Development and Child Welfare Department, A.P., Guntur.- Vide reference cited, the Director, Women Development and Child Welfare department informed that government of India has sanctioned (14,000) anganwadi centers (6000+8000) for construction of own buildings under MGNRGES furing the years 2019-20 and 2020-21 and the Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Department has accepted to take up the construction during 2020-21.

She further informed that during the meeting held by Hon’ble Chief Minister with School Education and Women Development Departments on 17-8-2020, he has instructed to rename the anganwadi centers as YSR Pre Primary Schools and to take necessary action to strengthen the infrastructure of the anganwadi centers.
- 3. In view of the above, she has requested this department to issue instructions to all the District Education Officers in the State to allot site @ 5 Cents per each Anganwadi Centre in Primary school premises where Anganwadi Centres are not located in school premises/class rooms so as to promote Pre-primary / Pre-school Education to 3-6 years age children and to ensure seamless transition of the above 5 years children into Primary School under monitoring of the concerned School Head Master.

Hence, all the District Education Officers in the State to allot site @ 5 Cents per each Anganwadi Centre in Primary school premises where Anganwadi Centres are not located in school premises/class rooms so as to promote Pre-primary / Pre- school Education to 3-6 years age children and to ensure seamless transition of the above 5 years children into Primary School under monitoring of the concerned School Head Master.
- 5. Further, they are requested to provide necessary information of allotment of sites school wise to the District Women Development and Child Welfare Officer for taking further action.
