Ex-gratia / Compensation to the Election Duty Staff who die or sustain during Elections GO 10
Read the following:-
- 1. G.O.Ms.No. 321, General Administration(Elections-B) Department, Dated: 04.12.2014.
- 2. G.O.Ms.No.138, G.A. (Elections.A) Dept., dt.07.11.2019.
- 3. From the Secretary, A.P., State Election Commission, Vijayawada, Lr.No.578/SEC-F1/2021-3, dt15.02.2021.
- In the G.O. 2nd read above, the G.A. (Elections-A) Dept., has issued orders for payment of Ex-gratia/Compensation to the families of personnel engaged for election related work and who die or sustain injuries while on Election duty in General / Bye-Elections to House of People, Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly and Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council and Revision of Electoral Rolls of Assembly and Council Constituencies in the State.
- 2. In the letter 3rd read above, the A.P., State Election Commission, Vijayawada has requested the Government to issue orders for Payment of Ex-gratia / Compensation to the families of personnel engaged for election related work and who die or sustain injuries while performing election related duties of Urban Local Bodies in the State.
- 3. Government after careful examination of the proposal, hereby adopt the orders issued by the GA (Elections-A) Department in the reference 2nd read above for payment of ex-gratia / compensation to the families/ legal heirs of polling personnel who died or sustained injuries while performing election related duties of Urban Local Bodies in the State.
- 4. The Collectors and District Election Authorities of all Districts are hereby delegated the powers to sanction the ex-gratia / compensation to the families of personnel who drafted for election duty of Urban Local Bodies in their jurisdiction as per the orders issued in the reference 2nd read above.
- 5. This order issues with the concurrence of the General Administration (Election-A) Department dt.05.03.2021 and the Finance (FMU-EFS&T & MA&UD) Department U.O.No.FIN01-FMU0ASD/22/2021, dated 24.02.2021.
