The minimum qualifying marks for consideration of a candidate to the selection process are 40% for OCs, 35% for BCs, and 30% for SCs, STs and PHs or as per rules. In the event of Schedule Caste & Schedule Tribe candidates not coming up for selection with the existing minimum prescribed for selection in the examination conducted their selection shall be considered on the basis of rank with reference to their performance in the OMR based written examination irrespective of the marks secured.

Animal Husbandry Assistant Pay Scales 2023 and Salary Details
The selected Animal Husbandry Assistants have to work in probation. The candidates on selection and appointment will be paid Rs. 15,000/- PM as consolidated pay for a period of 2 years. They will be given regular scale of pay after satisfactory completion of 2 years probation .The selected candidates on appointment will be deployed to work in the Village Secretariats established in the Grama PanchayatsAfter completion of Probation, and passing the required department tests as mentioned in the notification within the given time, the candidates will be awarded the regular pay scale in PRC 2022 as mentioned below.

- Two years Animal Husbandry Polytechnic Course conducted by SVVU, Tirupati. (OR)
- Intermediate Vocational course in Dairying and Poultry Sciences as one of the subjects of study / Two years Poultry Diploma Course conducted by the Polytechnic college at Ramachandrapuram of SVVU, Tirupati etc. / Two years Intermediate Vocational Course in Multi Purpose Veterinary Assistant.
Note: - Provided that the candidates selected with the qualifications in Clause-(b) above shall undergo one year departmental training in Veterinary Assistants Course to be conducted by the Director of Animal Husbandry and those who have successfully completed the said training shall be appointed as Animal Husbandry Assistants”.

AHA Recruitment 2023 Selection Procedure
Each District is the unit of appointment. District Selection Committee (DSC) is the selection authority and the District Collector is the appointing authority. The DSC will follow the principle of order of merit and the selection process is carried out with utmost regard to secrecy and confidentiality so as to ensure that the principle of merit is scrupulously followed The committee of Secretaries constituted under G.O.Rt. No. 449, PR & RD (MDL-1), dated 19.07.2019 will provide support for the conduct of the examination.
