CTET Exam Information

CTET 2023 exam has been scheduled for July and August 2023. The CTET 2023 Exam will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode Only. CTET Exam Application Link

CTET Notification has been released by CBSE. CTET 2023 Application link has become active on 27 April 2023. The last date to apply for the CTET 2023 Exam by 26 May 2023. CTET 2023 Application Fee

Candidates can apply for CTET 2023 by logging in to the official website of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test after the Central Teacher Eligibility Test notification 2023 for the same has been released. A candidate belonging to either the General or OBC category is required to pay Rs. 1000/– (if applying for either Paper I or Paper II) and Rs. 1200/- (if applying for both papers).

The number of Rs. 500/- (if applying for either Paper I or Paper II) and Rs. 600/- (if applying for both papers) for candidates belonging to SC/ST category. The CTET 2023 Application Fee is different as per the category SC ST OBC & Gen. The fee of the CTET Registration form is different for both papers 1&2. It depends on the candidates to select one.

CTET Eligibility Criteria - Educational Qualification

National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) has released a notification stating the revised CTET eligibility criteria for candidates who are pursuing Teacher Training Course(TTC). According to the notification, the candidates who are pursuing Teacher Training courses will be eligible to apply for CTET Exam.

CTET 1-5 Classes Eligibility Criteria
  • Candidates must have cleared or still pursuing the final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (with a minimum of 50% marks) from a recognized University/Institution.
  • Applicants must have cleared or still pursuing the final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (with a minimum of 45% marks) in accordance with the NCTE, Regulations, 2002.
  • Aspirants must have cleared or still pursuing the final year of 4 years of a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) from a recognized University/Institution (with at least 50% marks).
  • Candidates must have cleared or still pursuing the final year of 2 years Diploma in Special Education(with at least 50% marks) from a recognized University/Institution.
  • Candidates must have cleared the Graduation (with at least 50% marks) and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) from a recognized University/Institution
CTET 6-8 Classes Eligibility 
  • Candidates must have cleared the Graduation and also must have cleared or still pursuing the final year of 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education from a recognized University/Institution.
  • Candidates must have cleared the Graduation (with minimum 50% marks) and passed or appeared in the first year of Bachelor in Education (B.Ed) from a recognized University/Institution.
  • Candidates must have cleared the Graduation (with a minimum of 45% marks) and passed or appeared in 1 year of bachelor’s Degree in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE Regulations in Education (B.Ed).
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and Candidates must have cleared the Graduation of a 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed).
  • Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and Candidates must have cleared the Graduation of 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.
  • Graduation with at least 50% marks and Candidates must have cleared or appeared in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).
  • Candidates must have cleared the Graduation in B.Ed. Programs recognized by the NCTE are eligible to appear in TET/CTET

How to APPLY Online for CTET July 2023

Method of Submission of Online Application Form: 

STEP 1: Log on to CTET official website https://ctet.nic.in. 

STEP 2: Go to the link “Apply Online” and open the same.

STEP 3: Fill in the Online Application Form and note down Registration No./Application No.

STEP 4: Upload latest Scanned Photograph and Signature

STEP 5: Pay Examination Fee by debit/credit card and net banking. The candidates must note that the examination city of their choice will be allotted on the first come first served basis only as per availability of capacity in the city of examination. 

The candidates, who complete the online application process and pay the fee on first come first served basis, will be allotted the examination city of their choice as per availability in that particular city. The total capacity in a particular city will also be available on the portal.

If the total capacity of a particular city is full during completion of application process or making payment of examination fee or updation of transaction on portal, the candidate will be given the option either to select any other city of examination or cancel the transaction. 

If a candidate cancels the transaction, full fee will be refunded to his /her account as per mode of payment and application will not be considered for this examination of CTET. 

The request for change of examination city will not be accepted in any case.

CTET Syllabus 2023

CBSE has done some changes to the CTET Syllabus. CTET New syllabus 2023 has been divided into 2 papers. CTET Paper 1 syllabus will be based on the prescribed syllabus of NCERT for classes 1st to 5 but the difficulty level and Standard of the questions could be up to the secondary stage. For CTET Paper 2 will be based on the prescribed syllabus of NCERT for classes 6 to 8 but the difficulty level and Standard of the questions could be up to the Senior secondary stage.

CTET-qualified candidates can take part in the recruitment process of Government schools like Kendriya Vidyalaya, Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya & other govt. or private teaching recruitment.   • This year, the CTET exam will be conducted in an online mode i.e., Computer Based Test Mode.

CTET 2023 Exam Preparation Tips

Time Management: 

Know your weaker section and focus more on that section. Set the time limit for any topic which you study. Give time to other subjects as well. Manage your time according to the time taken and less time-consuming questions to balance the time in the main exam.

Mock tests will help you in various ways. It helps you develop the right strategy. Solve some mock tests and revise the previous year’s questions as it can help in maintaining accuracy and speed.

Analyze and learn from the past: 

Whatever you scored, and how, you performed in the last exam is going to help you a lot. Aspirants think that failure is a setback when it is just one more test drive through the rough roads. You already got the hang of the type of question asked and the time taken by each type of question. So that you can manage your time better this time.

Be wise and revise: 

You must be getting new information from all around you. People trying to help you by pitching new ideas and topics to ease your preparation are actually making it more challenging. Any new data you try to feed your brain as a booster is going to jam it. So, whatever you have learned till now, trust it and revise it thoroughly. Revise daily whatever you learn the previous day.

Health should be the priority: 

Under the COVID-19 breakdown situation, You should take care of your health first and try to get at least 8 hours of sleep every day to make the best use of your knowledge. Avoid pulling an all-nighter a day right before the examination for it affects your ability to concentrate during the examination. You can also try exercising for 15 minutes every day because it gets the blood flowing. It resets your brain, increases blood flow to the brain, and prepares you for critical thinking and retention.

Speed and Accuracy: 

Keep these two words in mind. For any Competitive exam, Speed and Accuracy play a very important role. You have to maintain both if any of it is not followed you might get caught in a mess. You can’t afford to do a blunder of such magnitude. If you feel that a particular question is taking more time than required, better leave it and move to the next question
