ORDER:
The following notification will be published in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette.
Upper age limit for Ex-service Men: A person, who worked in the Armed - Forces of the Indian Union, shall be allowed to deduct the length of the service rendered by him in the Armed Forces and also three years from his age for the purpose of the maximum age limit.
(a) The Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT) as CBT shall be conducted in order to do away with the present cumbersome process that involves large human contingent and the consequent expenditure involved.
(b) The Computer Based Test involves pre-examination work viz. registration of candidates and application processing, identification of test centers as approved by the Technical Team of the Convener, Test Centers management and generation of hall tickets followed by development of error- free question paper sets/bank and its management, and also creation of awareness to the Candidate about CBT by means of conduct of mock tests and preparatory test.
(b) For Secondary Grade Teachers, selection will be on the basis of _ combined marks secured in the Written Test (TRT) (80%) and APTET/CTET(20%) Weightage except School Assistant (Physical Education) duly following the Provisions of Rule-18.
(c) For School Assistant (Physical Education), selection will be on the basis of marks secured in the Written test (TRT) only duly following the Provisions of Rule-18.
(d) NORMALIZATION: Normalization procedure/Technique will be adopted for AP TRT Examinations, 2024.
During the period of apprenticeship, the selected candidates will be trained in various aspects of providing quality education to the children, includes training on digital enabled teaching future skills, IB Curriculum and Pedagogy, expertise in other global assessments like TOEFL etc. and expertise in teaching in English as the medium of instruction.
During the period of apprenticeship, the selected candidates will be paid a monthly stipend prescribed by the Government from time to time. On satisfactory completion of the period of apprenticeship, he/she will be appointed to a regular post with a regular scale of pay.

In exercise of the powers conferred by Article 309 of the Constitution of India read with sub section (3) and (4) of Section 169, Sub-sections (3) and (4) of section 195 and Section 243 of the Andhra Pradesh Panchayat Raj Act, (Andhra Pradesh Act 13 of 1994) and amendments thereon and third proviso to Section 74 of the Andhra Pradesh Municipalities Act, 1965 (Andhra Pradesh Act 6/1965) and Section 78 and Section 99 of the Andhra Pradesh Education Act, 1982 (Act 1 of 1982), read with sub-section (1) of section 23·of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act 2009 (Central Act No. 35 of 2009), duly incorporating the norms and conditions of the eligibility criteria provided by NCTE for the post of teachers, the Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby makes the following rules for Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT) for the posts of School Assistants(SAs) and Secondary Grade Teachers (SGTs) in the schools of Andhra Pradesh.
RULES
ii) These rules shall apply to all categories of teacher posts in Government, Zilla Praja Parishad, Manda! Praja Parishad, Municipal, Municipal Corporation schools, Integrated Tribal Development Agency, Ashram schools, and to such other categories of teacher posts in such other schools as may be notified by the Government from time to time.
iii) These rules shall come into force with immediate effect from the date of issue of these orders.
i. For School Assistants (SAs), the total marks shall be 100, out of which 80 marks shall be for the Written Test (TRT) (80%) and remaining 20 marks for APTET/CTET (20%) Weightage.

ii. For Secondary Grade Teachers (SGTs), the total marks shall be 100, out of which 80 marks shall be for the Written Test (TRT) (80%) and remaining 20 marks for APTET/CTET (20%) Weightage.
iii. For School Assistants (PE), the total marks shall be 100 for written test {TRT) only.
Recruitment will be purely based on merit-cum-roster system as per the existing provisions being adopted by Government of Andhra Pradesh. {as notified in District Selection Committee (DSC)-2018)

Note: Who have acquired the qualification of Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) from any NCTE recognized institution shall be considered for appointment as a Secondary Grade Teacher, provided that the person so appointed as a Secondary Grade Teacher shall mandatorily undergo a six months bridge course in Elementary education recognized by the NCTE, within two years of such appointment as Secondary Grade Teacher.

RULES
SHORT TITLE AND APPLICATION:
i) These rules may be called as the Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT) for the posts of School Assistants (SAs) and Secondary Grade Teachers (SGTs) Scheme of Selection Rules, 2024.ii) These rules shall apply to all categories of teacher posts in Government, Zilla Praja Parishad, Manda! METHOD OF RECRUITMENT
The Recruitment shall be through a selection process consisting of Computer based Written Test (CBT) and other criteria stipulated by the Government from time to time {as notified in District Selection Committee {DSC)-2018).i. For School Assistants (SAs), the total marks shall be 100, out of which 80 marks shall be for the Written Test (TRT) (80%) and remaining 20 marks for APTET/CTET (20%) Weightage.

QUALIFICATIONS AND ELIGIBILITY
{as notified in District Selection Committee {DSC)-2018):
(1) A candidate for selection to the posts of Teachers shall possess the academic and professional/training qualifications as follows:-
(a) The candidates who are pursuing final year or final semester (as the case may be) of the required. qualification are also eligible to apply for the posts concerned duly submitting the details of such examinations in the online application and get qualified in the said examination on the date of verification of certificates to be notified by the Commissioner of School Education
(b) (i) Must possess Intermediate Certificate issued by the Board of Intermediate Education Andhra Pradesh (or) other equivalent certificates recognized by Board of Intermediate Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
(ii) Must possess Academic degrees of Universities recognized by University Grants Commission(UGC).
(iii) Teacher Education Courses recognized by National Council for - Teacher Education(NCTE).
(iv) The Applicants who have obtained requisite Degrees through Open Universities / Distance Education mode are required to have recognition by the University Grants Commission / AICTE / Distance Education Bureau as the case may be. Unless such Degrees have been recognised by the relevant Statutory Authority, they will not be accepted for purpose of Educational Qualification vide its Public Notice No. F.27-1/2012 (CPP-II), Dt. 27/06/2013.

The onus of proof of recognition by the relevant Statutory Authority that their Degrees / Universities have been recognised rests with the candidate.
(v) Special Education Courses recognized by Rehabilitation Council of India(RCI).
(vi) The candidates should be qualified in the AP Teacher Eligibility Test (APTETs)/CTET for the posts of School Assistants and Secondary Grade Teachers.

No person shall be eligible for direct recruitment to the post of Teacher if he/she is less than18 years of age and not more than 44 years of age as on 1st day of July of the year 2024 in which the notification for selection to the relevant post, category or class or a service is made. However, in case of SC/ ST / BC/EWS candidates the maximum age limit shall be 49 years and in respect of Physically Challenged candidates the maximum age limit shall be 54 years.Upper age limit for Ex-service Men: A person, who worked in the Armed - Forces of the Indian Union, shall be allowed to deduct the length of the service rendered by him in the Armed Forces and also three years from his age for the purpose of the maximum age limit.
PROCESS FOR CONDUCT OF TEACHER RECRUITMENT TEST (TRT)
(as notified in District Selection Committee (DSC)-2018)
(a) The Government of Andhra Pradesh is keen on the utilization of Information Technology for automation of various activities related to government departments to ensure accuracy and transparency. The Computer Based Test for all Common Entrance Tests (CETs) conducted from the Academic Year 2017-18 onwards.

COMPUTER BASED TEST (CBT)
In order to bring in utmost transparency and accuracy in the conduct of examinations, it is decided to conduct Computer Based Test (CBT) on the lines of APTET as per the recommendations of the Commissioner of School Education, A.P., Amaravati.(a) The Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT) as CBT shall be conducted in order to do away with the present cumbersome process that involves large human contingent and the consequent expenditure involved.
(b) The Computer Based Test involves pre-examination work viz. registration of candidates and application processing, identification of test centers as approved by the Technical Team of the Convener, Test Centers management and generation of hall tickets followed by development of error- free question paper sets/bank and its management, and also creation of awareness to the Candidate about CBT by means of conduct of mock tests and preparatory test.
The examination management includes digitization and secured transfer of the question paper to the test centers, conduct of test, processing of scores and generation of ranks as per the G.Os of the respective CETs.
SELECTION in TRT 2024
(a) For School Assistants (SAs), selection will be on the basis of combined marks secured in the Written Test (TRT) (80%) and APTET/CTET(20%) Weightage except School Assistant (Physical Education) duly following the Provisions of Rule-18. (as notified in District Selection Committee (DSC)-2018).(b) For Secondary Grade Teachers, selection will be on the basis of _ combined marks secured in the Written Test (TRT) (80%) and APTET/CTET(20%) Weightage except School Assistant (Physical Education) duly following the Provisions of Rule-18.
(c) For School Assistant (Physical Education), selection will be on the basis of marks secured in the Written test (TRT) only duly following the Provisions of Rule-18.
(d) NORMALIZATION: Normalization procedure/Technique will be adopted for AP TRT Examinations, 2024.
APPOINTMENT ON APPRENTICESHIP
Every selected candidate will be initially appointed by the concerned appointing authority as apprentice teacher for a period of 2 (two) years from the date of appointment.During the period of apprenticeship, the selected candidates will be trained in various aspects of providing quality education to the children, includes training on digital enabled teaching future skills, IB Curriculum and Pedagogy, expertise in other global assessments like TOEFL etc. and expertise in teaching in English as the medium of instruction.
During the period of apprenticeship, the selected candidates will be paid a monthly stipend prescribed by the Government from time to time. On satisfactory completion of the period of apprenticeship, he/she will be appointed to a regular post with a regular scale of pay.
