ఇప్పుడు ఇదే విధానం మున్సిపల్ పాఠశా లల్లో అమలు చేయడం ద్వారా టీచర్ల సంఖ్య తగ్గి పోయే అవకాశముంది. కాగా ఎన్నికల కోడ్ అమల్లో ఉన్న సమయంలో ఇలాంటి విధానపర మైన నిర్ణయాలు ఎలా తీసుకుంటారని టీచర్లు ప్రశ్నిస్తున్నారు. గతంలో ఇచ్చిన జీవోలు కేవలం జిల్లా, మండల పరిషత్, ప్రభుత్వ పాఠశాలలకు మాత్రమే వర్తిస్తాయని, మున్సిపల్ పాఠశాలలకు ఆ జీవోలు వర్తించవనే వాదన వినిపిస్తోంది. కాగా, ఇది ప్రతిపాదన దశలోనే ఉందని పాఠశాల విద్యా శాఖ వర్గాలు అంటున్నాయి.

The attention of all the District Educational Officers in the state (erstwhile districts) are invited to the subject cited and they are requested apportionment of teaching staff in Municipal Schools (following the mapping of municipal schools), and Conversion and Up-gradation of posts and schools, in Municipalities wise, in the prescribed formats provided below on or before , duly adhering to the existing guidelines/norms issued for Government/Zilla Parishad/Mandal Praja Parishad Schools, for taking further course of action in the matter.

విద్యా ర్థులు, వారి తల్లిదండ్రులు తీవ్రంగా వ్యతిరేకించిన ప్పటికీ.. జిల్లా, మండల పరిషత్ ప్రభుత్వ పాఠశా లల్లో తరగతులు విలీనం చేసిన జగన్ ప్రభుత్వం.. ఇప్పుడు మున్సిపల్ పాఠశాలల్లోనూ అదే మొండి వైఖరిని ప్రదర్శిస్తోంది. తరగతుల విలీనం, రేషనలై జేషన్ కోసం 2022లో జారీ చేసిన జీవోలు 117, 128, 60లను మున్సిపల్ పాఠశాలల్లో అమలు చేసేందుకు చర్యలు చేపట్టింది. ఈ మేరకు మున్సి పాలిటీల్లో పాఠశాలల మ్యాపింగ్ పోస్టుల అప్ డేషన్ వివరాలను పంపాలని పాఠశాల విద్యాశాఖ తాజాగా డీఈవోలకు ఆదేశాలు జారీ చేసింది.
మున్సిపల్ పాఠశాలలు. మున్సిపల్ శాఖ పరిధిలో ఉన్నందున గతంలో చేసిన విలీనం, రేషనలైజేషన్ ప్రక్రియ ఈ పాఠశాలల్లో అమలు చేయలేదు. గత నెలలో ప్రభుత్వం మున్సిపల్ పాఠశాలలను పాఠశాల విద్యాశాఖ పరిధిలోకి తెచ్చింది. దీంతో వెంటనే రేషనలైజేషన్ ప్రక్రియ ప్రారంభించింది. మున్సిపాలిటీల్లో 2115 పాఠశాలలు ఉన్నాయి. 4.25 లక్షల మంది విద్యార్థులు వాటిలో చదువుతున్నారు. పై జీవోల ప్రకారం ఒక కిలోమీటరు పరిధిలో ఉన్న ప్రాథమిక పాఠశాలల్లోని 3, 4, 5 తరగ తులను సమీపంలోని హైస్కూల్లో విలీనం చేస్తారు. దీంతో ప్రాథమిక పాఠశాలల్లో ఇక 1, 2 తరగతులు మాత్రమే మిగులుతాయి.

గతంలో జిల్లా, మండల పరిషత్ పాఠశాలల్లో ఈ జీవో అమలు చేయడంతో 1,250 ప్రాథమిక పాఠశాలల విలీనమయ్యాయి. వాటిలో కేవలం రెండే తరగతులు మిగిలాయి. ఈ ప్రక్రియను అప్పట్లో ప్రజలం తీవ్రంగా వ్యతిరేకించినా ప్రభుత్వం మొండిగా. అమలు చేసింది. 60 మంది విద్యార్థులకు ఇద్దరే. టీచర్లు ఉంటారని, విద్యార్థుల సంఖ్య ఆధారంగా హెచ్ఎం, పీఈటీ పోస్టులుంటాయని స్పష్టం చేసింది.
