APTET July 2024 Notification Overview

Online applications are invited for the Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (APTET- 2024) for the candidates aspiring to be Teachers in the schools under all managements including State Government, rural and urban local bodies, AP. Model Schools, all welfare and societies schools, Private Aided Schools and Private un-aided schools etc., under the control of Andhra Pradesh State for classes I to VIII.

Online applications are invited for the Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test APTET- July-2024 from the candidates for all those aspiring to be Teachers in State Government, Mandal Parishad, Zilla Parishad, Municipality, A.P. Model Schools, A.P Residential Schools, all Welfare Society Schools, Private Aided Schools and Private Un-aided schools etc., under the control of Andhra Pradesh State for classes I to VIII.

Basic Structure of AP TET July 2024

APTET 2024 will be conducted through Computer Based Test in Paper-I ((A) & (B)), Paper-II ((A) & (B)). The candidate who intends to be teachers for classes I to V have to appear for Paper-I (A) and the candidates intending to be teachers for classes VI to VIII have to appear for paper-II (A). 

The candidate who intends to be teachers for classes I to V in Special Education have to appear for the examination under Paper I (B) and the candidates who intends to be teachers for classes from VI to VIII have to appear for paper ll(B) in respect of Special Education.

APTET 2024 Eligibility - Educational Qualifications

The APTET 2024 Educational Qualifications are divided into two sections. The AP TET 2024 Paper-1 for Teachers dealing classes from 1-5th Class, AP TET 2024 Paper-2 for Teachers dealing Classes 6-8th. 

The candidate at the time of applying for APTET, 2024 should be having the minimum qualifications prescribed for a teacher for category I to V classes (Paper – I A) and for category I to V classes (Paper I B) in respect of Special Education and for classes VI to VIII ( paper-II (A) ) and Paper II B for classes VI to VIII in respect of Special Education Teachers as given below.

The candidates at the time of applying for APTET, 2024 should be in possession of the minimum qualifications prescribed for a teacher for I to V classes (Paper-I (A) & (B)) and VI to VIII classes (Paper-II (A) & (B)) as given in Information Bulletin. The candidates who are pursuing final year of any of the Teacher Education Courses recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be, up to the academic year 2023-24 can also appear for the APTET 2024.

AP TET 2024 Paper-1A [Classes 1-5th] Qualifications

Eligibility for AP TET 2024 Paper-I

  • Intermediate/Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with atleast 50% marks and 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) (or)
  • Intermediate/Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks ;r and 2 year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition norms and procedure), Regulations, 2002 (or)
  • Intermediate/Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed) (or) 
  • Intermediate/Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2 year Diploma in Education (Special Education)(or)
  • v). Graduation and two year diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)
Note 1:- Relaxation up to 5% in the qualifying marks allowed to the SC/ST/BC/PH "
candidates."

How to choose language–I of APTET Paper-I: 

The following languages are offered under First Language in the Schools under the State Syllabus viz., Telugu, Urdu, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil and Odiya. A Candidate has to choose one of these 6 Languages under Language-I of TET, those candidates should have compulsorily studied that Language either as medium of study or as First Language at least Up to Class X. 

The candidates who studied CBSE/ ICSE curriculum can choose the Language which they studied Up to Class X.

The Language-II shall be English for all candidates.

The syllabus for Language I & II shall be based on Proficiency in the language, Elements of language, communication and comprehension abilities (Classes III to VIII and Standards linkage Up to class X level).

AP TET 2024 Paper-IIA [Classes 6-10th] Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications for TET Paper II-A (Classes VI-VIII) (Regular Schools)

Mathematics- Physical Science Teachers/Biological Science/Social Studies Teachers/Language Teachers
  • i) At least 50% marks either in Graduation (or) in Post-Graduation with Bachelor of Education (B.Ed). (or) 
  • ii) Graduation with at least 45% marks and 1 year Bachelor of Education in accordance with the NCTE recognition norms and procedure Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. (or) 
  • iii) Intermediate/Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed) (or) 
  • iv) Intermediate/Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 4 year integrated B.A./B.Sc. or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed. (or) 
  • v) Graduation with at least 50% marks and 1 year B.Ed (Special Education) (or) 
  • vi) Post-Graduation with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade and three year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed .
Note 1:- Minimum percentage of marks in graduation shall not be applicable to those incumbents who had already taken admission to the Bachelor of Education or Bachelor of Elementary Education or equivalent course prior to the 29th July, 2011.

Note 2:- The minimum qualifying marks in -Graduation as 40% marks for SC/ST/BC and PH candidates to appear for Paper-II-A in APTET-2024 as one time measure.

Language Teachers (Classes VI to VIII):

Graduation with Language concerned as one of the Optional Subjects (or) Bachelor of Oriental Language (or its equivalent) (or) Graduation in Literature': (or) Post Graduation in Language concerned and Language Pandit Training·· .., Certificate/ B.Ed. with Language concerned as one of the Methodologies, in " respect of Language Teachers.

Minimum Qualifications for TET Paper II-B (Classes VI-VIII) (SPECIAL SCHOOLS)::

RCI QUALIFICATIONS SECONDARY
Graduate with B.Ed.(Special Education)/ B.Ed.(General) with one year Diploma in Special Education / B.Ed. (General) with two years Diploma in Special Education / B.Ed.(General) with Post Graduate Professional Diploma in Special Education (PGDC) / PG Diploma in Special Education (Mental Retardation) / PG Diploma in Special Education (Multiple Disability : Physical & Neurological) / PG Diploma in Special Education (Locomotor Impairment and Cerebral Palsy) / Secondary level Teacher Training Course in Visual Impairment / Senior Diploma in Teaching the Deaf / BA B.Ed. in Visual impairment/ Any other equivalent qualification approved by RCI.

Note:-
  • i. The candidates, who are appearing in the final year of Diploma in Elementary Education (or) Bachelor of Education (or) Language Pandit Training (or) D.Ed in Special Education or its equivalent (or) B.Ed in Special Education or its equivalent etc., are also eligible to appear for TET exam subject to the condition that the candidates cannot appear for Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT) with this TET certificate, unless the candidates acquire requisite qualification.
  • ii. A Diploma/ Degree course in Teacher Education recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) only shall be considered. However in case of Diploma in Education (Special Education) and B.Ed. (Special Education), a course recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) only shall be considered.
  • iii. Intermediate qualification of Board of Intermediate Education (BIE) of Andhra Pradesh State or its equivalent as recognized by Board of Intermediate Education (BIE), Andhra Pradesh State only shall be considered. Bachelor’s Degree of a University Recognized by UGC only shall be considered.

Validity period of AP TET 2022 Certificate / Marks Memo:

APTET Certificate / Marks Memo shall remain valid for life time in accordance with NCTE guidelines as amended by the Government in G.O.Ms.No.69, Dated: 25.10.2021. The validity of TET qualifying certificate acquired prior to 09.06.2021 shall be life time as per G.O.Ms.No.68, Dated: 25.10.2021.

Weightage for APTET Scores in selection in District Selection Committee (DSC) Recruitments:

20% Weightage will be given to APTET scores in the ensuing Teacher Recruitment of the State Government. In other words, 20% Weightage is for APTET score and 80% Weightage for written test in Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT) for drawing up the selection list.

APTET 2022 Examination FEE:

The fee towards submission of online application and for the conduct of computer . based examination is Rs.750/- for each Paper-I (A), (B), Paper-II (A), (B) separately.

Candidates shall pay the fee through payment Gateway from 4th July 2024  and submit online application at the APTET website http://cse.ap.gov.in from 3rd July 2024 to 16th July 2024

Note: If the candidate who is having both D.EI.Ed general/special and B.Ed general/special qualifications desires to apply for all papers, he/she has to pay Rs.750/- for each paper separately.

How to Apply for APTET July 2024

Open the website APTET, www.aptet.apcfss.in
  • Visit the official website of CSEAP.
  • Click on the Apply Online Link.
  • Next, the APTET 2024 Online Application will appear on your screen.
  • Fill in all the required information in the respective fields.
  • Upload the relevant documents carefully.
  • Next, you have to upload your photograph and signature image.
  • Once you are satisfied with the accuracy of the information entered by you, click on the Submit Button.
  • Then you will be directed to the Payment Gateway.
  • Complete the payment process through Net Banking, Credit Card or Debit Card.
  • Finally, your APTET 2024 application form will appear on your screen with all the information entered.
  • Click on the Download button to download and save your APTET 2024 exam Application Form for future reference.

AP TET 2024 Exam Pattern

In the below section the applicants will be able to get the complete information about the AP TET 2024 Exam Pattern for the entrance exam such as the exam mode, exam duration, exam language, total questions, total marks, marking scheme, negative markings, and many more.

Mode of Exam: The entrance exam will be organized in online.

Duration of Exam:
The entrance exam will be organized for 2 hrs. 30 minutes duration only.

Language of Exam: The applicant will have to appear for the entrance exam in the English language.
Total Number of Questions: The question paper of the entrance exam will contain a total of 150 questions for the applicants to answer.

Total Marks: The question paper of the entrance exam will contain a maximum of 150 marks.
Type of Questions: The applicants will have to appear objective-type multiple-choice questions in the entrance exam.

Marking Scheme: The applicant will be awarded with 1 mark for each correct answer given

Negative Marking:
No provision of negative markings in the entrance exam.
Several papers: The question paper of the entrance exam will contain two papers (Paper I and Paper II).

The syllabus for Mathematics & Environmental Studies is designed on the basis of topics of Classes III to VIII. The difficulty standard as well as linkages of content/topics could be up to Secondary Stage (up to Class X) for testing.

The test items in Mathematics and Environmental Studies will contain 30 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) each, both on Content and Pedagogy .In Mathematics, 24 MCQs will be on Content and 6 MCQs on Pedagogy. Similarly, in Environmental Studies 24 MCQs will be on Content and 6 MCQs on Pedagogy.

The detailed syllabus for all subjects shall be designed by the SCERT and the same shall be issued along with the Notification.
