GSWS Letter to Collectors for Capturing TMF Photos by EWA/ WWDP Secretaries 

Sub GSWS Department –School Toilet Maintenance Funds- Standard Operation Procedure (SOP)- The Welfare & Education Assistants / Ward Welfare & Data Processing Secretaries shall download IMMS App & Visit Government Schools / Junior Colleges on Monday & Thursday to inspect the cleanliness and upload Photos in the IMMS App – Requested to issue instructions -Regarding.

1. DO Letter of the Director, Mid- Day Meal & School Sanitation of School Education Department, Dated: 19.08.2024.

It is to inform that the Government of AP, has established the Toilet Maintenance Fund (TMF) to ensure the cleanliness of Toilets, Urinals, Changing Rooms, Wash Rooms and other related facilities in all Government Schools / Junior Colleges both in Rural and Urban Areas. This initiative aims to safeguard the health of all students.

2. Previously until disabled the CR App, the Welfare & Education Assistants / Ward Welfare & Data Processing Secretaries had conducted visits to schools and assessed the cleanliness.

3. In the reference cited above, the Director, Mid- Day Meal & School Sanitation of School Education Department has informed that, now the Government has enabled IMMS App & issued revised SOP. Further he has noticed that the Welfare & Education Assistants / Ward Welfare & Data Processing Secretaries have not been uploading the required information in the said App. As a result, the current achievement rate is only 0.6% against the target for the academic year 2024-25.

4. Further it is informed that, as per the revised SOP the Welfare & Education Assistants / Ward Welfare & Data Processing Secretaries shall visit Government Schools / Junior Colleges twice a week i.e., on Monday & Thursday to inspect the cleanliness of the facilities and upload their observations & Photos in the IMMS App. The Welfare & Education Assistants / Ward Welfare & Data Processing Secretaries can download IMMS App and collect login credentials from the Head Masters of their Jurisdiction.

5. Hence, District Collectors are requested to issue necessary instructions to all the Municipal Commissioners and MPDOs with a direction that the Ward Welfare & Data Processing Secretaries/ Welfare & Education Assistants shall visit all Government Schools / Junior Colleges in their jurisdiction twice a week i.e., on Monday & Thursday and update the observations in the IMMS App to ensure the cleanliness of Toilets, Washbasins, Urinals & other associated items and upload remarks & Photos in the IMMS App. For guidance revised SOP on TMF is enclosed to this letter.

6. The Municipal Commissioners and MPDOs are requested to ensure proper implementation of above instructions duly giving necessary directions to the Ward Welfare & Data Processing Secretaries/ Welfare & Education Assistants and monitor their visits.

7. The District GSWS Ofcers In-charge and DLDOs are requested to monitor the visits of the Ward Welfare & Data Processing Secretaries/ Welfare & Education Assistants for better cleanliness in the Government Schools / Junior Colleges.
