Eligibility and Instructions for Malabar Scholarship 2024

  • 1. The Scholarship Scheme is exclusively for girl students only.
  • 2. Students who are above 60th percentile of successful candidates in the relevant stream.
  • 3. The scholarship will be granted for the higher education after SSLC/10th standard . The scholarship will suspended , if the scholar is not promoted to the next academic year . Correspondence / distance education students are not eligible to apply.
  • 4. All applications will be subjected to thorough scrutiny and verification and if necessary,additional details will be required to be submitted to substantiate the eligibility of the student for the scholarship.
  • 5. Scholarship will be granted on 'Merit and Means Basis' only. Attested copies of certificates or merit issued by the board/controller of examination pertaining to the qualifying examination,and copy of the income certificate issued by the Revenue authorities should be attached along with the application.
  • 6. Wards of the employees of Malabar Group of Companies , its subsidiary and joint venture companies are NOT eligible for the scholarship.
  • 8. The decision of Malabar Charitable Trust regarding scholar's selection shall to final and no correspondence or representation on the selection process will be entertained Under any circumstances.
  • 9. The Trust reserves the right to reject any application as well as discontinue the scholarship at any time without giving any notice/ assigning any reason.
  • 10. All disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in Kozhikode
  • 11. Photocopy of Bank Pass book of the student ( The page having account No and address) must be enclosed.
  • 12. Applications from self financing / un aided / swasraya and parallel / private registration students should not be accepted for scholarship . .
  • 13. Applications from students of Govt:Collages / schools and aided collages / schools with Govt: Collage / school fee structure only should be accepted .
Eligibility Criteria in Brief:
The scholarship will be granted to eligible candidates based on the following criteria, subject to fund availability:
  • Female students who are presently pursuing higher education in Higher Secondary or Undergraduate/Degree level in government or aided schools/colleges located in selected Indian states.
  • Applicants must have successfully completed the 10th grade with a minimum of 50% marks.
  • Preference will be given to students with the highest marks and the lowest family income.
  • Students must be enrolled in a full-time, regular academic program. Distance and correspondence students are not eligible to apply.
  • Priority will be accorded to students from SC/ST/EWC/OBC backgrounds.
General Instructions:

  • Within three days of receiving the confirmation message, submit the hard copies of your application form along with the supporting documents at your nearest Malabar Gold & Diamond Showroom.
  • Our team will verify and review all submitted documents.
  • Your application will then undergo a thorough evaluation, and a final decision will be made regarding its approval or rejection. Successful applicants will be notified through a text message sent to their registered mobile phone number. Please note that due to the high volume of applications, we do not send rejection notifications to applicants.
  • Once approved, the allocated funds will be disbursed to applicants bank account via RTGs (Real-Time Gross Settlement).
