    ORDER:
    The following notification will be published in the Andhra Pradesh Gazette.

    NOTIFICATION
    In exercise of the powers conferred by Article 309 of the Constitution of India read with Section 78 and Section 99 of the Andhra Pradesh Education Act, 1982 (Act 1 of 1982), read with sub-section (1) of section 23 of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act 2009 (Central Act No. 35 of 2009), duly incorporating the norms and conditions of the eligibility criteria prescribed by the NCTE from time to time for the post of teachers and amendments from time to time in this regard, the Government of Andhra Pradesh hereby makes the following rules for Teacher Recruitment Test (TRT) to the posts of Teachers in the schools of Andhra Pradesh.

    RULES:

    1. SHORT TITLE AND APPLICATION:

    i)These rules shall be called as the Andhra Pradesh Teacher Recruitment Test (AP TRT) Rules for the posts of Principals, Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs), Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs), Physical Directors (PDs) and Physical Education Teachers (PET) Scheme of Selection Rules, 2025 .

    ii) These Rules shall apply to all the categories of Principals, Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs), Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs) in AP Model Schools and MJPAPBCWREIS; Principals, Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs), Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs) and Physical Education Teachers (PETs) in APREIS; Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs) and Physical Education Teachers (PETs) in APSWREIS; and Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs), Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs), Physical Directors (PDs) and Physical Education Teachers (PETs) in APTWREIS (Gurukulam) Schools in Andhra Pradesh and such other categories of teacher posts in such other schools as may be notified by the Government from time to time.

    iii) These Rules shall come into force with immediate effect from the date of issuance of these orders.


    AP DSC 2025: METHOD OF RECRUITMENT

    The Recruitment shall be through a selection process consisting of Computer Based Test (CBT) and other criteria stipulated by the Government from time to time.

    (i)Principals:
    • a) Paper – I : Qualifying in nature - English Language Proficiency Test and it shall be for 100 marks.
    • b) The candidates should compulsorily qualify in the English Proficiency Test.
    • c) Paper – II: Written Test (Computer Based Test) shall be for 100 marks.
    • d) There is no TET for the post of Principal.

    (ii)Post Graduate Teachers (PGTs):
    • a) Paper - I : Qualifying in nature - English Language Proficiency Test and it shall be for 100 marks for Non Language Teacher posts.
    • b) The candidates of Non-Language PGT Posts should compulsorily qualify in the English Proficiency Test.
    • c) PGT-Non-Language Posts: Paper - II, Written Test (Computer Based Test) shall be for 100 marks.
    • d) PGT-Language Posts: Written Test (Computer Based Test) shall be for 100 marks and there will be no English Language Proficiency Test.
    • e) There is no TET for the posts of PGT.
    (iii) Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs):
    • a) Paper - I : Qualifying in nature- English Language Proficiency Test and it shall be for 100 marks for Non Language Teacher posts.
    • b) The candidates of Non-Language TGT Posts should compulsorily qualify in the English Proficiency Test.
    • c) TGT - Non Language Posts: Paper II, the total marks shall be 100, out of which 80 marks shall be for the Written Test (Computer Based Test) (80%) and remaining 20 marks for APTET/CTET (20%) Weightage.
    • d) TGT-Language Posts: Written Test (Computer Based Test) shall be for 80 marks and remaining 20 marks for APTET/CTET (20%) Weightage. There is no English Language Proficiency Test.
    (iv) Physical Director (PD) and Physical Education Teachers (PET):
    The total marks shall be 100 for the written test (Computer based Test). There is no TET and English Language Proficiency Test for these posts.

    NOTE:
    • i. The compulsory qualifying Screening Test (English Language Proficiency Test) will be conducted only for the candidates applied for the posts of Principal, PGT (Non Languages) and TGT (Non Languages) for 100 marks.
    • ii. The minimum qualifying marks for Screening Test (English Language Proficiency Test) for OC/BC/EWS - 60 Marks and SC/ST/PH/Ex-Servicemen - 50 Marks.
    • iii. Recruitment shall be purely based on merit-cum-roster system as per the existing provisions being adopted by the Government of Andhra Pradesh vide G.O.Ms.No.77, G.A. (Ser-D) Dept., Dt: 02.08.2023 and subsequent G.O.Ms.No:12, S.E (Services-I) Dept., Dt:15.04.2025, G.O.Ms.No.46, G.A. (Ser-D) Dept., Dt: 19.04.2025, and G.O.Ms.No.47, G.A (Ser-D) Dept., Dt: 19.04.2025.

    AP DSC 2025: QUALIFICATIONS AND ELIGIBILITY:

    4.1. A candidate for selection to the posts of Teachers shall possess the academic and professional/training qualifications as follows:

    (a) (i)The candidates applying for the post should be fully qualified and must be in possession of all certificates as on the last date prescribed in the notification for submission of application.

    (ii)Only those candidates, who are in possession of all eligibility certificates, should apply for the post and there shall not be any kind of relaxation / exemption given in this regard.

    (b) Must possess Intermediate Certificate issued by the Board of Intermediate Education Andhra Pradesh (or) other equivalent certificate recognized by Board of Intermediate Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh.

    (c) Must possess Academic Degrees obtained from Universities recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC).

    (d) Teacher Education Courses must be recognized by National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE).

    (e) The Applicants who have obtained requisite Degrees through Open Universities / Distance Education mode are required to have recognition by the University Grants Commission / AICTE / Distance Education Bureau as the case may be. Unless the relevant Statutory Authority has recognized such Degrees, the same shall not be taken into consideration for purposes of Educational Qualification vide its Public Notice No. F.27-1/2012 (CPP-II), Dt. 27/06/2013. (A university established or incorporated by or under a State act shall operate only within the territorial jurisdiction allotted to it under its Act and in no case beyond the territory of the State of its location). The onus of proof of recognition by the relevant Statutory Authority that their Degrees / Universities are recognized rests with the candidate only. If the candidate fails to prove, the certificates obtained thereof shall not be taken into consideration in any aspect.

    (f) Special Education B.Ed. courses must be recognized by NCTE & Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI).

    (g) The candidates should be qualified in the AP Teacher Eligibility Test - APTET/CTET for the posts of Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT).

    (h) TET qualification is not required for the posts of Principal, Post Graduate Teacher, Physical Director and Physical Education Teacher.

    AP DSC 2025: Post Wise Qualifications 

    The Post Wise Qualifications of the AP DSC 2025 follows the Qualifications for the Post of Principals, PGT, TGT, School Assistants, Secondary Grade Teacher Posts etc. 

    (i) Principal:

    a. Academic & Professional Qualifications:
    Must possess any two-year integrated Post Graduate Course from Regional Institute of Education of NCERT (or) any Master's Degree from UGC recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate. In case of SC / ST / BC / Person with benchmark Disability candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45% AND Must possess B.Ed. / B.Ed. Special Education recognized by NCTE / RCI (or) equivalent degree from UGC recognized University.
    OR
    Post Graduation with at least 45% of marks (or its equivalent) from recognized university and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from National Council for Teacher Education recognized institution (in accordance with the National Council for Teacher Education) (form of application for recognition the time limit of submission of application, determination of norms and standards for recognition of Teacher Education Programmes and permission to start new course or training) regulations 2002 notified on 13.11.2002 and NCTE (Recognition norms and procedures) Regulations 2007, notified on 10.12.2007.

    OR
    Post Graduation with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and three year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed as per NCTE regulations. In case of SC / ST / BC / Persons with benchmark Disability candidates, the minimum marks shall be 50%.

    b. Experience:
    The candidates shall possess the following experience and have to submit the experience certificate obtained from the competent authority at the time of submission of application. During verification, genuineness of the experience Certificates shall be verified and cross checked with the records of the concerned schools by the respective District Educational Officers/Authority appointed by the Commissioner/ Director of School Education. The experience certificates shall be considered only after their authenticity has been verified by the District Educational Officers or the authority designated by the Commissioner/Director of School Education. If the experience certificates are found not genuine, the candidature of such candidates shall summarily be rejected and such candidates shall forfeit the right for the selection in addition to being liable for criminal prosecution.

    1. Persons holding the post of Principals or Vice-Principals in the recognized senior secondary schools / equivalent institutions dealing with English Medium in the pay scale of Rs.61,960 - 1,51,370 and with a minimum service of 3 years as on the date of issuance of notification.
    OR

    2. Persons holding Group 'B' posts / the post of PGTs (or) Lecturers in the recognized senior secondary schools / equivalent institutions dealing with English Medium in the pay scale of Rs.48,440 - 1,37,220 and with a minimum service of 5 years as on the date of issuance of notification.
    OR

    3. Headmasters in the recognized secondary schools / equivalent institutions dealing with English Medium in the pay scale of Rs.44,570 - 1,27,480 and with a minimum service of 5 years as on the date of issuance of notification.

    Qualifications for Post Graduate Teacher (PGT):

    A. Academic & Professional Qualifications: Post Graduation with at least 50% marks (or its equivalent) (In case of SC / ST / BC / Persons with benchmark Disability candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%) from UGC recognized university AND must possess B.Ed. / B.Ed. Special Education with concerned subject methodology recognized by NCTE / RCI (or) equivalent degree from UGC recognized University.
    OR

    Must possess two-year integrated Post Graduate Course in the concerned subject from the Regional Institute of Education of NCERT or Master's Degree from UGC recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate in the subjects as per the NCTE-2014 norms. In case of SC / ST / BC / Persons with benchmark Disability candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45% AND must possess B.Ed. / B.Ed. Special Education with concerned subject methodology recognized by NCTE / RCI (or) equivalent degree from UGC recognized University.
    OR

    Post Graduation in the concerned subject with at least 45% of marks (or its equivalent) from recognized university and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) with concerned subject methodology from National Council for Teacher Education recognized institution (in accordance with the National Council for Teacher Education) (form of application for recognition the time limit of submission of application, determination of norms and standards for recognition of Teacher Education Programmes and permission to start new course or training) regulations 2002 notified on 13.11.2002 and NCTE (Recognition norms and procedures)Regulations 2007, notified on 10.12.2007.
    OR

    Post Graduation in the concerned subject with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and Three year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed with concerned subject methodology as per NCTE regulations. In case of SC / ST / BC / Person with benchmark Disability candidates, the minimum marks shall be 50%.

    (a) PGT (English): Must possess Master's Degree in English from UGC recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate in the subjects as per the NCTE-2014 norms. In case of SC / ST / BC / Person with benchmark Disability candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%.
    AND
    Must possess B.Ed. / B.Ed. Special Education in the concerned subject recognized by NCTE / RCI (or) equivalent degree with methodology in the concerned subject from UGC recognized University.
    OR
    Post Graduation in the concerned subject with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and three year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed degree with methodology in the concerned subject as per NCTE regulations. In case of SC / ST / BC / Person with benchmark Disability candidates, the minimum marks shall be 50%.

    (b) PGT (Hindi):Must possess Master's Degree in Hindi from UGC recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate in the subjects as per the NCTE-2014 norms. In case of SC / ST / BC / Person with benchmark Disability candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%.
    AND
    Must possess B.Ed. / B.Ed. Special Education in the concerned subject recognized by NCTE / RCI (or) equivalent degree with methodology in the concerned subject from UGC recognized University.
    OR
    Post Graduation in the concerned subject with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and Three year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed with methodology in the concerned subject as per NCTE regulations. In case of SC / ST / BC / Person with benchmark Disability candidates, the minimum marks shall be 50%.


    (c) PGT (Telugu): Must possess Master's Degree in Telugu from UGC recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate in the subjects as per the NCTE-2014 norms. In case of SC / ST / BC / Persons with benchmark Disability candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45% marks.
    AND
    Must possess B.Ed. / B.Ed. Special Education in the concerned subject recognized by NCTE / RCI (or) equivalent degree with methodology in the concerned subject from UGC recognized University.
    OR
    Post Graduation in the concerned subject with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and three year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed with methodology in the concerned subject as per NCTE regulations. In case of SC / ST / BC / Persons with benchmark Disability candidates, the minimum marks shall be 50%.

    (d) PGT (Sanskrit):Must possess Master's Degree in Sanskrit from UGC recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate in the subjects as per the NCTE-2014 norms. In case of SC / ST / BC / Person with benchmark Disability candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45% marks.
    AND
    Must possess B.Ed. / B.Ed. Special Education in the concerned subject recognized by NCTE / RCI (or) equivalent degree with methodology in the concerned subject from UGC recognized University.
    OR
    Post Graduation in the concerned subject with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and three year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed with methodology in the concerned subject as per NCTE regulations. In case of SC / ST / BC / Person with benchmark Disability candidates, the minimum marks shall be 50%.

    (e) PGT (Civics):Must possess Master's Degree in Political Science/Public Administration/Politics from UGC recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate in the subjects as per the NCTE-2014 norms. In case of SC / ST / BC / Person with benchmark Disability candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45% marks.
    AND
    Must possess B.Ed. / B.Ed. Special Education in the concerned subject recognized by NCTE / RCI (or) equivalent degree with methodology in the concerned subject from UGC recognized University.
    OR

    Post Graduation in the concerned subject with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and three year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed with methodology in the concerned subject as per NCTE regulations. In case of SC / ST / BC / Person with benchmark Disability candidates, the minimum marks shall be 50%.

    (f) PGT (Commerce):Must possess Master's Degree (M.Com.) in Commerce with Accountancy / Cost Accounting/ Financial Accountancy as a main subject /Master of Financial Analysis from UGC recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate in the subjects as per the NCTE-2014 norms. In case of SC / ST / BC / Persons with benchmark Disability candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45% marks having B.Com in Graduation level.
    AND
    Must possess B.Ed. / B.Ed. Special Education in the concerned subject recognized by NCTE / RCI (or) equivalent degree with methodology in the concerned subject from UGC recognized University.
    OR
    Post Graduation in the concerned subject with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and three year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed with methodology in the concerned subject as per NCTE regulations. In case of SC / ST / BC / Person with benchmark Disability candidates, the minimum marks shall be 50%.

    Note: Holders of M.Com in Applied / Business Economics are not eligible for the post of PGT-Commerce.


    (g) PGT (Economics) : Must possess Master's Degree (M.A.) in Economics / Applied Economics / Business Economics/ Rural Development/ Mathematical Economics/Econometrics from UGC recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate in the subjects as per the NCTE-2014 norms. In case of SC / ST / BC / Person with benchmark Disability candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%.
    AND
    Must possess B.Ed. / B.Ed. Special Education in the concerned subject recognized by NCTE / RCI (or) equivalent degree with methodology in the concerned subject from UGC recognized University.
    OR
    Post Graduation in the concerned subject with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and three year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed with methodology in the concerned subject as per NCTE regulations. In case of SC / ST / BC / Person with benchmark Disability candidates, the minimum marks shall be 50%.

    (h) PGT (Maths):Must possess Master's Degree (M.A./M.Sc.) in Mathematics / Applied Mathematics /Statistics / Applied Statistics / M.Sc, with Pure Mathematics / M.Sc. Maths& Computer Science/A.O. Maths from UGC recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate in the subjects as per the NCTE-2014 norms. In case of SC / ST / BC / Person with benchmark Disability candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%, and should have studied the subject Mathematics at their Graduation level.
    AND
    Must possess B.Ed. / B.Ed. Special Education in the concerned subject recognized by NCTE / RCI (or) equivalent degree with methodology in the concerned subject from UGC recognized University.
    OR
    Post Graduation in the concerned subject with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and three year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed with methodology in the concerned subject as per NCTE regulations. In case of SC / ST / BC / Person with benchmark Disability candidates, the minimum marks shall be 50%.

    (i) PGT(Physics):Must possess Post Graduation in M.Sc. in Physics/ Electronics/ Applied Physics/ Nuclear Physics/ M.Sc. (Tech) Engineering Physics with any specialization/ M.Sc. (Tech) Instrumentation/ Space Physics/ M.Sc. Technical Engineering Physics/ M.Sc. (Tech) Engineering Physics/ M.Sc. (Tech) Applied Electronics/ M.Sc. (Tech) Electronics/ M.Sc. Engineering Physics and Instrumentation/ Meteorology & Oceanography/M.Sc. (Tech) Co- Physics/M.Sc. (Astro Physics)/ Any Physics-based M.Sc. Course of any UGC recognized University with at least 50% marks in aggregate in the subjects as per the NCTE-2014 norms. In case of SC / ST / BC / Person with benchmark Disability candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%, and should have studied the subject Physics at their Graduation level.
    AND
    Must possess B.Ed. / B.Ed. Special Education in the concerned subject recognized by NCTE / RCI (or) equivalent degree with methodology in the concerned subject from UGC recognized University.
    OR
    Post Graduation in the concerned subject with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and three year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed with methodology in the concerned subject as per NCTE regulations. In case of SC / ST / BC / Person with benchmark Disability candidates, the minimum marks shall be 50%.


    (j) PGT(Chemistry):Must possess Post Graduation in M.Sc, Chemistry with specialization in Inorganic/ Organic/ Physical Chemistry/ Medicinal Chemistry/Industrial Chemistry and Analytical Chemistry/ M.Sc, with Nuclear Chemistry/ Environmental Chemistry/ Mineral Chemistry/ Fertilizers and Agro-Chemicals/ Phyto Chemistry & Forest Products/ Chemistry of Foods and Drugs/ Synthetic Chemistry/ Applied Chemistry/ M.Sc, Chemistry (Associateship Exam in Chemistry) M.Sc, Chemistry with specialization in Petro Chemicals/ Natural Products/ Polymer Chemistry/ Drugs and Pharmaceuticals/ Forest Products Chemistry with at least 50% marks in aggregate in the subjects as per the NCTE-2014 norms. In case of SC / ST / BC / Person with benchmark Disability candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45% and should have studied the subject Chemistry at their Graduation level.
    AND
    Must possess B.Ed. / B.Ed. Special Education in the concerned subject recognized by NCTE / RCI (or) equivalent degree with methodology in the concerned subject from UGC recognized University.
    OR
    Post Graduation in the concerned subject with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and three year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed with methodology in the concerned subject as per NCTE regulations. In case of SC / ST / BC / Person with benchmark Disability candidates, the minimum marks shall be 50%.


    (k) PGT (Botany):Must possess Post Graduation in M.Sc., in Botany / Life Sciences/ Biological Sciences/ Genetics/ Micro Biology/ Bio Technology/ Molecular Biology/ Plant Physiology/ Biological Sciences / Plant Sciences / Environmental Biology / Modern Biology/ Experimental Biology/ Marine Biology with at least 50% marks in aggregate in the subjects as per the NCTE-2014 norms. In case of SC / ST / BC / Person with benchmark Disability candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%, and should have studied the subject Botany at their Graduation level.
    AND
    Must possess B.Ed. / B.Ed. Special Education in the concerned subject recognized by NCTE / RCI (or) equivalent degree with methodology in the concerned subject from UGC recognized University.
    OR
    Post Graduation in the concerned subject with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and three year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed with methodology in the concerned subject as per NCTE regulations. In case of SC / ST / BC / Person with benchmark Disability candidates, the minimum marks shall be 50%.

    (l) PGT (Zoology): Must possess Post Graduation in M.Sc, in Zoology/Life Sciences/ Biological Sciences/ Genetics/ Microbiology/ Bio-Technology/ Molecular Biology/Biological Sciences / Animal Biology/ Environmental Biology/ Modern Biology/ Animal Sciences/ Experimental Biology /Marine Biology, with at least 50% marks in aggregate in the subjects as per the NCTE-2014 norms. In case of SC / ST / BC / Person with benchmark Disability candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%, and should have studied the subject Zoology at their Graduation level.
    AND
    Must possess B.Ed. / B.Ed. Special Education in the concerned subject recognized by NCTE / RCI (or) equivalent degree with methodology in the concerned subject from UGC recognized University.
    OR

    (iii) AP DSC 2025 Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT) Qualifications

    A. Academic and Professional Qualifications :
    For the posts of TGT Languages, the candidates must possess a Graduation/Post Graduation from a University recognized by UGC with 50% marks, in case of SC / ST / BC / Person with benchmark Disability candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%, and for the posts of TGT Non-Languages, the candidates must possess a Graduation from a University recognized by UGC with 50% marks, in case of SC / ST / BC / Person with benchmark Disability candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%, in the concerned subject(s) in aggregate including electives and Languages in the combination of subjects specified as per the NCTE norms -2014.

    For the posts of TGT Languages, the candidates must possess a Graduation/Post Graduation and for the posts of TGT Non Languages, the candidates must possess graduation, with at least 45% of marks (or its equivalent) from recognized university and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) from National Council for Teacher Education recognized institution (in accordance with the National Council for Teacher Education) (form of application for recognition the time limit of submission of application, determination of norms and standards for recognition of Teacher Education Programmes and permission to start new course or training) regulations 2002 notified on 13.11.2002 and NCTE (Recognition norms and procedures)Regulations 2007, notified on 10.12.2007.

    Must possess B.Ed. / B.Ed. Special Education in the concerned subject recognized by NCTE / RCI (or) equivalent degree with methodology in the concerned subject from UGC recognized University.

    Must possess four-year Integrated degree course from the Regional Institute of Education of NCERT with at least 50% marks in aggregate. In case of SC/ST/BC/ Person with benchmark Disability candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%.

    OR
    Post Graduation in the concerned subject with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and three year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed with methodology in the concerned subject as per NCTE regulations. In case of SC / ST / BC / Person with benchmark Disability candidates, the minimum marks shall be 50%.


    (a)TGT (Telugu): Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree with Telugu as the main subject (or) one of the three equal optional subjects (or) Bachelor's Degree in Oriental Language in Telugu (B.O.L) (or) its equivalent (or) a Post Graduate Degree in Telugu from a University recognized by UGC with 50% marks, in case of SC / ST / BC / Person with benchmark Disability candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45% and Must possess B.Ed. / B.Ed. Special Education in the concerned subject recognized by NCTE / RCI (or) Telugu Pandit Training (or) equivalent degree with methodology in the concerned subject from UGC recognized University.

    Must possess four-year Integrated degree course having Telugu as the main subject (or) one of the three equal optional subjects from the Regional Institute of Education of NCERT with at least 50% marks in aggregate. In case of SC/ST/BC/ Person with benchmark Disability candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%.

    OR
    Post Graduation in the concerned subject with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and three year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed with methodology in the concerned subject as per NCTE regulations. In case of SC / ST / BC / Person with benchmark Disability candidates, the minimum marks shall be 50%.


    (b) TGT (Hindi):Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree with Hindi as one of the Main subject (or) Bachelor’s Degree in Oriental Language in Hindi (B.O.L) (or) Praveena of Dakshina Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha (or) Vidwan of Hindi Prachar Sabha, Hyderabad (or) any other equivalent recognized qualification in Hindi (BA degree Standard) (or) a Post Graduate Degree in Hindi (of the following as per table- I) from a university recognized by UGC with 50% marks either in Graduation or Post Graduation (In case of SC/ST/BC/ Person with benchmark Disability candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%) of the following as per Table -I and along with any one of the following training qualifications from a university recognized by NCTE/RCI, as mentioned in Table-II..

    (c) TGT(Sanskrit):Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree with Sanskrit as the main subject (or) one of the three equal optional subjects (or) Bachelor’s Degree in Oriental Language with Sanskrit (B.O.L) (or) its equivalent (or) a Post Graduate Degree in Sanskrit from a University recognized by UGC with 50% marks, in case of SC / ST / BC / Person with benchmark Disability candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%. And must possess B.Ed. / B.Ed. Special Education in the concerned subject recognized by NCTE / RCI (or) Sanskrit Pandit Training (or) equivalent degree with methodology in the concerned subject from UGC recognized University.

    Must possess four-year Integrated degree course having Sanskrit as the main subject (or) one of the three equal optional subjects from the Regional Institute of Education of NCERT with at least 50% marks in aggregate. In case of SC/ST/BC/ Persons with benchmark Disability candidates the minimum marks shall be 45%.

    Post Graduation in the concerned subject with a minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade and three year integrated B.Ed-M.Ed with methodology in the concerned subject as per NCTE regulations. In case of SC / ST / BC / Person with benchmark Disability candidates, the minimum marks shall be 50%.

    (d) TGT (English):Must possess a Graduation with English as the main subject (or) one of the optional subjects (or) a Post Graduate Degree in English from a University recognized by UGC with 50% marks, in case of SC / ST / BC / Person with benchmark Disability candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%. And must possess B.Ed. / B.Ed. Special Education in the concerned subject recognized by NCTE / RCI (or) equivalent degree with methodology in the concerned subject from UGC recognized University.

Special Education with Mathematics as a methodology subject recognized by NCTE / RCI.

    B.C.A. Candidate with Mathematics at Intermediate level as group subjects. Must possess at least 50% marks, in case of SC / ST / BC / Persons with benchmark Disability candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%. AND must possess B.Ed. / B.Ed.     Important Note for TGT Candidates:

    • 1.) TET Qualification: The candidates applied for all categories of TGTs must have qualified in Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (AP-TET)/ Central Teacher Eligibility Test (C-TET).
    • 2.) RCI Registration : Those candidates who have studied B.Ed. (Special Education) must be registered with Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI)with CRR Number.

    (j) Physical Director (PD):
    Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree from a University recognized by UGC AND a B.P.Ed (or) M.P.Ed. recognized by NCTE. There is no TET for the post of Physical Director (PD).


    (k) Physical Education Teacher (PET) :
    Must possess Intermediate certificate issued by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh or equivalent certificate recognized by Board of Intermediate Education, Govt., of A.P
    AND

    Under Graduate Diploma in Physical Education (U.G.D.P.Ed) recognized by NCTE.

    OR
    Possess a Bachelor’s Degree and a B.P.Ed. (or) M.P.Ed. recognized by NCTE. There is no TET for the post of Physical Education Teacher.

    Language/Medium Study Qualifications:

    The candidates who have (i) passed either SSC (or its equivalent) Examination or Intermediate (or its equivalent) or Degree Examination in the medium of instruction concerned or (ii) have studied the Language concerned as First Language in SSC (or its equivalent) or as Part-I in Intermediate (or its equivalent) or as Second Language in Intermediate (or its equivalent) or as a Subject in Degree, are eligible for the posts of PGT, TGT, PD and PET in the concerned medium. The written test (Computer based Test) will be in English along with concerned medium (bilingual).

    (i) Candidates having the training qualification of Special B.Ed/ B.El.Ed., recognized by NCTE / RCI are also eligible to apply for the posts of Principal, PGT and TGT in general schools, they are required to undergo an NCTE recognized six months special program in Elementary Education.

    (ii) Only the qualifications mentioned by the candidate in the application form shall be taken into consideration for the purpose of selection for the post applied.

    (iii) The candidates must be fully qualified for the post applied and in possession of all certificates as on the last date prescribed in the notification for submission of application.

    (iv) Equivalent qualifications: At the time of verification of certificates, if it is found that any applicant possessing other than prescribed qualification and claims it as equivalent to the prescribed qualifications, then an Expert Committee will be constituted by the Commissioner, School Education, Andhra Pradesh. Based on the report of the Expert Committee, the Commissioner, School Education, Andhra Pradesh shall take a final decision.

    AP DSC 2025 PGT TGT Principals Age Limit

    AGE:
    • AGE: No person shall be eligible for this recruitment if he/she is less than 18 years of age and if he/she is more than 44 years of age as on 01/07/2024 .
    • However, in case of SC/ST/BC/EWS candidates the maximum age limit shall be 49 years and in respect of Persons with Benchmark Disabilities candidates the maximum age limit shall be 54 years as per G.O.Ms.No:14, School Education (Services-I) Dept., Dt:17.04.2025 .
    Upper age limit for Ex-service Men :
    A candidate who has served in the Armed Forces of the Indian Union is eligible for age relaxation. The length of service rendered in the Armed Forces, plus an additional three years, shall be deducted from the actual  age  of  the   candidate  for  the   purpose  of  determining  the maximum age limit for eligibility.

    Note: The age relaxation for Ex-servicemen is applicable for those who have been released from Armed Forces other than by way of Dismissal or Discharge on account of misconduct or inefficiency.
